I am currently pursuing my PhD in Medical and Electrical Engineering (Dual-Track) at Caltech, under the guidance of Prof. Lihong Wang. My research is focused on advancing the field of biomedical imaging, with particular interests in:

1. Developing next-generation human-scale photoacoustic tomography (PACT) systems for non-invasive imaging of various human organs.
2. Innovating ultrafast HE-equivalent, label-free ultraviolet photoacoustic microscopy (UV-PAM) for real-time intraoperative imaging of fresh specimens.
3. Numerical modeling and correction techniques for skull-induced ultrasound aberration in transcranial PACT.
4. Leveraging machine learning and classical optimization methods to enhance biomedical imaging techniques, including microscopy and tomography.

My ultimate goal is to become an engineer-scientist in biomedical imaging, where I aim to merge optics, acoustics, and computational methods to create innovative and highly sensitive imaging technologies for disease diagnostics and sensing.

Outside the lab, I’m a Taekwondo Black Belt, a karaoke-only singer, and a home cook trained entirely on RedNote.
